Church of the "Sugar-Free Gospel"

From the Pastor’s Desk

I thank my God upon every remembrance of you, Always in every prayer of mine for you all making request with joy, For your fellowship in the gospel from the first day until now; Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ:   Philippians 1:3-6

Dear Christian brothers and sisters, I greet you in the name of God the father, Jesus Christ, our Redeemer, and the Holy Spirit, our Comforter and guide.  Words cannot begin to describe the feeling that I have at this moment. As I reflect over these last two years here, the only word I can use to sum up the experience is “awesome”!  What a wonderful time we have had in this anointed place.  Serving as Pastor here is truly a humbling calling that I do not take lightly or for granted.  I speak truthfully from my heart when I say that I needed Little Providence more than Little Providence needed me.  I thank God for this wonderful opportunity that He has bestowed upon me.  Serving as pastor here has helped me in my spiritual growth through the preaching and teaching of God’s Word.

We have been witnesses to the magnificent power of Jesus Christ throughout the past year.  If there are any doubters, we should be able to testify that God is alive and still in the miracle working business.  I am thrilled that we completed our study on prayer and I can see the fruits of that labor.  I am anticipating diving into our next study which is “The Purpose Driven Life”.  I will again re-iterate the importance of the teaching ministries of this Church. It is said that the people perish due to a lack of knowledge.  I strive to deliver the Word of God in plain and simple terms where we all can get an understanding of what God is trying to tell us.

It is hard to find the words that can truly express my gratitude to this church family.  You all have been kind, gracious, supportive, prayerful, and most of all understanding as I have tried to serve in the most humble way that I know how.  Being a young pastor, I am thankful that you all have made serving a pleasurable experience for both my family and me.  To the associate ministers and deacon staff here, I cannot find the words to express my gratitude for you all for the services rendered, the support and counsel given, and the sacrifices made in this ministry that we share.  I continue to pray for our strength as we attempt to be the leaders that God has called us to be.  I also want to thank all of the officers and the various auxiliaries for your untiring efforts across this past year. I thank you for the support and sacrifices that you have made traveling along with me to various events across this past year.

As we tread into this next year, I am prayerful that God will continue to dwell in this place and that He will give us a deeper revelation of himself in our lives.  Let us strive to grow in the knowledge, grace, and truth of Him.  Believe it or not, for all that we have seen in these past two years, God has even more in store for this great church and His people. I solicit your continued prayers in my ministry here.  I pray that the God of grace, mercy, and peace will forever be in your lives, your homes, and every endeavor you undertake.  Thank you all again for the wonderful experience that you have given me in this position that God has called me to.  Let us always look to Jesus and live for His return; loving one another in brotherly love and serving him in spirit and in truth.  Know that you all are special to me and I carry a love for you in my heart that is unsurpassed.

Your Humble Servant in Christ,

Pastor Kevin R. Hart
